About APN Solar

APN Solar is designed to help homeowners find suitable solar professionals and compare quality quotes for solar panel installation, battery storage, inverters, solar servicing and wider home energy upgrades.

Choosing solar panels can be difficult. There are many installers, many different products and a lot of technical information to understand. Homeowners often need to think about roof suitability, shading, battery storage, export tariffs, planning permission, inverter choice, warranties and long-term savings.

APN Solar helps make that process easier by giving homeowners a clearer route to approved and vetted solar installers.

Instead of relying only on online searches or accepting the first quote, homeowners can use APN Solar to request solar quotes from professionals who are better matched to their property, location and project requirements.

Why APN Solar Exists

Solar panels can be a valuable investment, but the quality of the installation matters.

A well-designed solar PV system can help reduce electricity bills, generate renewable electricity and improve long-term energy independence. A poor installation can lead to lower performance, roof problems, unclear warranties, inverter issues and disappointing savings.

APN Solar exists to help homeowners take a more informed approach.

Our aim is to connect homeowners with trusted solar professionals who can provide clear advice, suitable system design and quality installation quotes.

Helping Homeowners Find Approved Solar Installers

Many homeowners start by searching for “solar installers near me” or “solar panel installers near me”. This can produce a long list of companies, but it does not always make the decision easier.

APN Solar helps homeowners by providing a more guided route.

Through APN Solar, homeowners can request quotes from approved solar installers and compare options with more confidence.

This can help with:

• Solar panel installation

• Solar battery storage

• Solar inverters

• Solar optimisers

• EV charging

• Solar panel repairs

• Solar servicing

• Solar panel cleaning

• Smart export tariff advice

• Wider home energy improvements

The goal is to help homeowners find solar professionals who understand the work and can provide proper advice.

Why the Right Solar Installer Matters

Solar panel installation is not just about fixing panels to a roof.

A good installer needs to assess the property carefully, design the system properly and explain how the equipment will work in everyday use.

The installer should consider:

• Roof size and orientation

• Roof pitch

• Shading from trees, chimneys or nearby buildings

• Roof condition

• Access and scaffolding

• Solar panel layout

• Inverter choice

• Battery storage options

• Household electricity use

• Export tariff assumptions

• Future EV charging

• Warranties and aftercare

APN Solar helps homeowners connect with professionals who can look at these issues properly before providing a quotation.

Solar Panels and Battery Storage

Many homeowners now want to understand how solar panels work with battery storage.

A solar battery can store surplus electricity generated during the day so it can be used later, such as in the evening. This can help increase self-consumption and reduce reliance on electricity imported from the grid.

However, a battery is not right for every home. It adds cost and should be sized carefully.

APN Solar can help homeowners find solar and battery professionals who can explain whether battery storage is suitable for the property and how it may affect long-term savings.

Solar Inverters, Optimisers and System Design

The inverter is one of the most important parts of a solar panel system. It converts the electricity generated by the panels into electricity that can be used in the home.

Some homes may also benefit from solar optimisers or microinverters, particularly where the roof has shading, different orientations or a more complex layout.

APN Solar helps homeowners connect with installers who can explain these options and recommend a system design that suits the property.

The best solar installation is not always the largest system. It is the system that is properly designed around the home, the roof and the household’s energy use.

Solar Repairs, Cleaning and Maintenance

APN Solar is not only for new installations.

Many homeowners already have solar panels and need help with repairs, maintenance, cleaning or performance issues.

Common reasons to seek help include:

• Inverter fault codes

• Reduced generation

• Monitoring problems

• Damaged panels

• Bird mess or nesting

• Dirty panels

• Battery faults

• Solar system servicing

• Older systems needing inspection

APN Solar can help homeowners find suitable solar professionals for repair, maintenance and servicing work as well as new installations.

Home Energy Improvements

Solar panels often work best as part of a wider home energy plan.

A homeowner considering solar may also be thinking about insulation, double glazing, heating upgrades, hot water, EV charging, ventilation or smart controls.

APN Solar is part of the wider APN approach to helping homeowners improve their homes, reduce energy waste and make better long-term decisions.

This means solar can be considered alongside other improvements where appropriate.

How APN Solar Works

The process is simple.

A homeowner tells APN Solar what they are looking for. This may be a new solar panel installation, battery storage, inverter advice, solar cleaning, solar repairs or a wider home energy improvement.

APN Solar then helps connect the enquiry with suitable solar professionals who can provide advice or quotations.

The homeowner remains in control. They can review the quotes, ask questions and choose whether to proceed.

APN Solar helps create the connection, but the final decision always remains with the homeowner.

Comparing Solar Quotes

One of the main benefits of using APN Solar is the ability to compare quotes more clearly.

Solar quotes can vary significantly. Some may include battery storage, premium panels, optimisers, scaffolding and strong aftercare.

Others may be cheaper but less complete.

When comparing quotes, homeowners should look at:

• System size

• Number of panels

• Panel make and model

• Inverter make and model

• Battery details, if included

• Estimated annual generation

• Estimated savings

• Export tariff assumptions

• Scaffolding and access

• Electrical works

• Monitoring

• Warranties

• Aftercare

• Installer experience

APN Solar encourages homeowners to compare quality and suitability, not just price.

Approved and Vetted Solar Professionals

APN Solar is built around trusted professional connections.

The aim is to help homeowners connect with solar professionals who are suitable for the type of work required.

Vetting may consider business suitability, service category, location, experience, public profile, presentation, reviews, insurance, accreditations and the type of work offered.

Homeowners should still carry out their own checks before accepting any quote, but APN Solar helps provide a stronger starting point than searching alone.

Homeowners Stay in Control

Using APN Solar does not mean you have to accept a particular quote or proceed with a specific installer.

The homeowner remains in control throughout the process.

You can compare quotes, speak to the companies, ask questions and decide which installer is the right fit for your property, budget and expectations.

There is no pressure to proceed until you are comfortable.
